This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Audit Services. You must meet the requirements of the job by 11:59 (Eastern Standard Time) of the closing date: 12/02/2024

Duties

Responsible for packaging draft and final audit reports and analyzing the reports to ensure that these audit reports do not contain personally identifiable information (PII). Responsible for using Adobe Acrobat software to redact PII from audit reports. Responsible for distributing draft and final reports issued from OAS Headquarters to HHS OPDIVs and keeping OAS Headquarters and Regional management apprised of the status of the report distribution. Responsible for ensuring that audit reports posted to the HHS-OIG Internet are Section 508 compliant and accessible to persons with disabilities. Responsible for analyzing the report for section 508 compliance and if necessary, remediating the audit report using the appropriate software tools. Assists Regional Program Support Specialists in making their audit reports Section 508 compliant. Design, develop, and maintain the OAS Intranet site. Ensures that reports prepared for the internet are complete, accurate, and uploaded in a timely manner. Implements enhancements in response to OAS changing needs. Prepare final audit reports for posting to the OIG website, in accordance with OIG Public Affairs guidelines. Coordinate posting of final audit reports to the OIG website by the legislatively required timeframe with Office of Management and Policy (OMP) technology staff. Coordinate with OIG Executive Secretariat on the processing and distribution of OAS draft and final audit reports. Keep OAS management and program support specialists apprised of the status of final and draft audit reports and other OIG correspondence.

Requirements

  • Suitability for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements, including education, and any selective placement factors described below within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Examples of specialized experience MUST include the following: (1) Analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to prepare, transmit, analyze, and remedy audit reports and ensure 508 compliances; (2) Design and generate reports to transform data into actionable information; and (3) Develop agenda for conference calls, lead meetings, identify, plan, and execute training needs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.
