As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent serves as the Chief of Staff for the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization.

Duties

As Chief of Staff, the incumbent provides technical expert advice and guidance to the Associate Administrator for Security Hazardous Materials Safety and the ASH Senior Leadership Team on establishing ASH policy, management oversight, and coordination of the operations and programs of ASH. Maintains lines of communication between the Deputy Associate Administrator and other ASH executives and managers across the organization. Responds to inquiries and manages the dissemination of information and action items requiring the immediate attention of the Associate of Deputy Associate Administrator. Confers with all elements under the Deputy Associate Administrator's executive direction on technical and administrative matters requiring final determination by the Deputy.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS-15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
