This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: You will function as a Interdisciplinary (Architect/Engineer) A/E Project Manger with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District, Engineering & Construction Division, located in Nashville, TN.

Duties

Coordinate with A/E and/or in-house engineering staff for the development of plans, specifications and related design documentation. Act as liaison for District elements or A-E firms contributing to formulation of projects. Participate in project planning and design development, and establishes or assists more senior Project Engineers with establishing requirements for project features. Review submittals and change order requests based on design considerations, and makes necessary field inspections during construction to insure compatibility with original design intent. Serve as the project POC (Point of Contact) for Quality Control/Quality Assurance issues and is responsible for following policies and procedures to ensure quality technical products. Assist Supervisor and Program Managers in the execution and management of the A/E Contracting and Value Engineering Programs.

Gathering, interpreting, and applying information and data to assist in project designs and contract administration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing plans and specifications, architectural and engineering (A&E) statements of work and/or cost estimates; reviewing various documents to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards, and applicable laws and regulations; updating contract documents, engineering drawings and documents to reflect changes in requirements; contract administration of service or construction contracts, researching, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating and carrying out difficult assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
