About the position: This position will be assigned to the Bowling Center at Travis Air Force Base, CA.
Work Schedule: Intermittent (Flexible) employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week.
Physical Effort: Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds.
Eligible to use base facilities such as the Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center.

Duties
Performs standby service on automatic pinsetters, correcting pin jams and minor malfunctions. Records stops on log. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems to keep down time to a minimum.
Follows regular preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules. Replacing damaged pins as necessary.
Keeps pit and other work areas neat and clean at all times.
Plugs and refinished bowling balls as instructed.
Performs simple repair assignments according to detailed instructions.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Qualifying Experience:
No prior training or work experience is required. Must be able to use, control and clean common hand tools, and simple power equipment. Must be physically able to lift and carry 40 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach and work in awkward positions.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
