Duties

Utilize field notes to develop drawing details. Monitor equipment to ensure they are operating within standards. Monitor equipment to ensure they are operating within standards. Conduct research on electrical systems and equipment to develop plans, Prepare trainings to conduct for Geographic Information System (GIS) users. Utilize systems such as Computer Aided Design system to prepare preliminary, final scale drawings and complete layouts. Utilize sighting instruments to conduct proficient construction surveys.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance (NACI).
• This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

GS-10 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducting field surveys to assist with collecting data for construction projects; 2) Utilizing sighting instruments to assist with field surveys; AND 3) Assisting in the preparation of detailed drawings of buildings, structures, systems, or equipment to utilize for projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
