About the Position: This position is located in Warren, Michigan, and is within the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). The position serves as a Deputy Associate Director (Engineering) DB-0801-04 within GVSC. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. Duties

Serve as Deputy Associate Director providing direct technical, programmatic and managerial support to the Associate Director. Serve as an alter ego to a manager of high rank or level and shares with the manager the direction of all phases of the organization's program work. The position requires professional engineering knowledge, with an extensive background in a variety of system disciplines. Provide leadership, oversight, mentoring and management of various product and/or service teams engaged in research, development and/or engineering (RD and E). Oversee and review work of assigned teams, resolving technical or operating problems. The DAD (Deputy Associate Director) oversees the day-to-day activities of the Directorate. Facilitates day to day communications between the Directorate, GVSC G-staffs, and the Research and Technology Integration (RTI) and Systems Engineering and Integration (SIE) staffs. Inform senior leadership on budget execution matters.
