You will serve as a SUPERVISORY RECREATION SPECIALIST in the RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT DIVISION of NSA ANNAPOLIS.
Duties
You will assist in the overall operation, management, personnel supervision, and administration of the Community Recreation to ensure facility standards are met.
You will administer program budgets to ensure requirements are met within fiscal resources.
You will develop Recreation Program functions based on analysis and providing courses of action.
You will manage employees (e.g., work schedules, approve leave) to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.Preparing and tracking budget submissions and monthly financials for an installation. 2. Supervising personnel in the coordination of an installation's fitness and/or recreation program including making schedule and compliance with staff-to -child ratio. 3. Planning and executing a comprehensive fitness, aquatics, and/or sports program that includes a variety of fitness and aquatics activities for individual and team sports. 4. Developing or delivering presentations for promoting health/wellness activities. 5. Understanding of a wide range of principles, concepts, and techniques that govern physical fitness programs for adults and youth. 6. Managing and controlling the Marketing Office and Staff that focus on publicity for the department. 7. Directing and managing the oversight and analysis of financial operations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of recreation such as outdoor recreation; recreation and parks leadership; wild land recreation management; natural resources recreation; youth recreation; public, urban, or community recreation; special populations recreation (e.g., senior citizens, institutional, etc.); or physical education.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of recreation such as outdoor recreation; recreation and parks leadership; wild land recreation management; natural resources recreation; youth recreation; public, urban, or community recreation; special populations recreation (e.g., senior citizens, institutional, etc.); or physical education.

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
