Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as experience developing and implementing program plans and priorities, making technical and programmatic recommendations regarding the work.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Ability to assess how engaging multilateral development organizations can best advance U.S. environmental objectives.
Ability to establish metrics for program effectiveness and efficiency and to use data to guide process improvements.
Ability to develop and implement program projects.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to coordinate workgroups in order to achieve established performance targets.
Knowledge of global or regional environmental issues.
Ability to draft clear and accurate written materials.
Skill in oral communication.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
