You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Business Department, Business Services Division, Administrative Support Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will resolve all discrepancies with material orders to include arranging for the replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective and/or erroneous materials, and transportation.
You will act as a Government Commercial Purchase Card holder with limited authority as delegated by the Agency Program Coordinator.
You will ensure all local purchase requests are submitted through the appropriate budget technician to certify funding prior to the request being submitted to the local contracting office.
You will be responsible for determining and initiating follow-up action on material and services that are delinquent, documenting follow-up and corrective actions taken.
You will conduct daily checks of receipt status with customers to verify receipt and acceptance of materials and services.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates applying thorough knowledge of governing supply, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting principles, concepts, and practices and program requirements to provide a full range of complex supply and purchasing support functions, utilizing the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) to procure items needed from local supply sources, placing orders through DoD Supply System. You have performed both daily and monthly reconciliations of GCPC functions in accordance with Federal, Defense, and Navy acquisition regulations. You have experience researching, analyzing, resolving, expediting, monitoring, and authorizing proper and legal GCPC purchases and supply transactions. Examples of specialized experience are as follows: 1) Reviewing submitted documentation for purchase request and verify the requirement is proper, legal, mission essential, and it meets legal requirements prior to procurement; 2) Conferring with suppliers and resolve issues on matter of price, receipt discrepancies, special requirements for handling, status on urgently required items, or to coordinate timely delivery of material; 3) Serving as item manager and supply technician for all local purchase requirements ensuring all ordered items are closely monitored and received on time in order to support the command mission; 4) Ensuring all supply/purchase transactions are properly supported and funds are approved for expenditure prior to submission; initiates modifications to increase or decrease funding of purchases and closely monitor all expenditures.
