You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Logistics Division, S-4/Installations and Logistics Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

Duties

You will order, receive, store, dispose of and maintain documentation and historical data for all Hazardous Material aboard MCAS Miramar. You will participate in location and inventory audits in conjunction with the Aviation Supply Department. You will accept and screen all requisition documents from squadron and tenant units for Hazardous Material. You will verify all requests are compliant with the Authorized Users List (AUL). You will request and provide the Material Safety Data Sheet for all approved and new Hazardous Material. You will off load material by forklift as required, identify, inspect and count material.

• Must have or be able to obtain a Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPPER) certification for handling hazardous material/waste to include the storage and delivery of such materials.
• Must have or be able to obtain certification in Green Procurement.
• Incumbent must have or be able to obtain a valid forklift license and a flight line Driver's License.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current California license.
• This is a Non-Critical Sensitive position because of duties that affect national security including; controlling, maintaining custody, safeguarding, or disposing of hazardous materials, arms, ammunition or explosives.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and knowledge of ordering all Hazardous Material required in the operation of the HMMC (Hazardous Material Minimization Center Program); Experience researching and updating the status of all hazardous material processing requests in the systems (i.e. HM/HW Enterprise Application Software Data Base, (NALCOMIS) Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information Systems & (RSupply) Relational Supply Support Procedures database system); Experience performing data entry using Microsoft Office suite applications; AND Experience organizing and maintaining all local and network shared folders sharing application data and user data for backup purposes.
