You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (FFSC) in the Family Readiness Division
(N91) of NAS PATUXENT RIVER.
Duties
You will collaborate with leadership, first responders and supporting organizations (medical treatment facilities, law enforcement, legal, chaplain, MWR, American Red Cross) to leverage programs and services effectively.
You will serve as the principal advisor to the installation Commanding Officer (CO) on Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) related program delivery.
You will support command and regional efforts to maximize cooperation, planning and information sharing including other service branches, Federal, State, and local government agencies, and private sector entities.
You will supervise subordinate supervisors and serve as second level supervisor to professional and administrative civilian, military, non-appropriated fund (NAF) and volunteer staff assigned to the FFSC.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to Identify installation needs and concerns and present plans, recommendations, and assistance to correct readiness and retention issues; 2) Adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure performance, improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity; and 3) Identifying plans and strategies to assist commanders with preventing, identifying, and addressing family readiness challenges to retain unit cohesion, and operational and family readiness; 4) Managing allotted resources to achieve annual budget plans in accordance with chain of command guidance.
