You will serve as a Supervisor in the Finance Department of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will serve as the Tier 4 Supervisor supporting the Naval Information Center Atlantic (NIWC LANT).
You will utilize Financial Management processes and techniques, as well as assist and lead others in the field.
You will demonstrate leadership skills in interpreting Financial Management policies and regulations and in the application of organizational strategic goals.
You will perform independent analysis and problem solving with minimal supervision.
You will ensure employees have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities, training, work processes, and tools to deliver the required products and professional services needed by the competency customers.
You will work with customers to develop Task Agreement Assignments (TAAs), aligning each Competency employee to direct work assignments.
You will provide leadership in the areas of policy, best practices, process standardization, common tools, community management, Competency development, and situational awareness of Competency requirements.
You will be responsible for direct supervision of all employees assigned to the Tier 4 competency team.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leadership intervention, guiding, coaching, rewarding employees, management and interpretation of the laws, regulations, and various directives pertaining to appropriations, funds usage, and overall program planning and development, and the ability to apply financial policy to all levels of work.
