Duties
Independently plans and accomplishes assigned functions with supervisor's guidance being available on policy matters or matters which would be of command interest or result in precedent decisions.
Supervise a branch of project schedulers and other support staff in the implementation of the Project Management Business Process (PMBP) and the related business, project, network, computer, and technical tools and programs.
Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced by those supervised.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Direct the work of the Project Controls Section, which includes managing program specialists, project management specialists, and other staff consisting of Engineer Techs.
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Completing extensive data collection, management, and analysis to identify project execution problems, forecast future needs of a project or program. AND (2) Utilizing automated financial management systems such as Primavera Project Planner Enterprise, Reporting Suite, Corps of Engineers Financial Management System, and Enterprise Data Warehouse to coordinate civil works project schedules and analyze data. AND (3) Advising personnel on project/program execution, budget execution or life cycle program and project objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
