You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Utilities Division, NAVFAC HAWAII JBPHH of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will utilize preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and adjustment of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment located at a wastewater treatment plant. You will replace various types of pumps, valves, hydraulic cylinders, conveyors, gas driven engines, gears, motors, wheel bearings, and other related components. You will Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair power supply and distribution panels, fixture motors, generators, variable speed pump dives, pneumatic sewage ejectors, pressure switches, and all types of liquid level sensors and controllers. You make operational adjustments, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, realignment of motors, gears, wheels, shafts, bearings, and similar parts.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
