You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the BHH FACILITIES/ ENVIROMENTAL OFFICE PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Duties
You will explain procedures, policies, written instructions, or other directives to others performing maintenance work.
You will interpret instructions, sketches, blueprints, and building codes to decide the work methods or process best suited to complete the project.
You will interpret blueprints or sketches in a group setting to determine specific work requirements for each team member.
You will instruct trades and labor workers of technical principles, procedures, or standards required for safe operations.

Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- May require possession of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.

I have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including: 1) Completing the modifications and repairs of systems; 2) Utilizing maintenance procedures, policies, instructions, and shop mathematics to perform maintenance work; 3) in interpreting building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out the work.
