Duties
You will perform maintenance and repair of grounds and ranges.
You will operate various pieces of heavy equipment that supports clearing debris, maintaining roads, maintaining trenches/bunkers, and target obstacles.
You will perform a variety of tasks involved with the operation of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles to include dump trucks, cargo trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes and forklifts (gross weight of more than 22,000 pounds).
You will perform a variety of tasks including installing, constructing, repairing or modifying items and structures such as framework, panels, concrete forms, fortified trenches and bunkers.
You will perform duties as a hazardous materials specialist.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to occasionally wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- The applicant must complete a NACI on SF 85 or SF 85P. Failure to obtain a favorable Suitability Determination is grounds for removal.
- You will be required to obtain the applicable licenses(s), certification(s) or authorization(s) to operate assigned equipment within six months of hire and accomplish assigned duties.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Performing maintenance, such as checking and replenishing fluids to proper levels, examining and changing filters, lubricating equipment, changing cutting edges and making necessary adjustments.
