White City VA Medical Center is looking to fill one Housekeeping Aid Supervisor vacancy at the main hospital in White City, Oregon.
Note: Only current VA White City Medical Center facility employees are eligible.
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate
workers in supporting and performing task (e.g., environment of care, textile distribution and training) associated with the EMS goals and objectives.
Other duties include:
Carries out day to day functions independently, keeping the Chief/Assistant Chief Environmental Management Service advised of special problems and unique situations.
Assures subordinates time is effectively used, to include managing the workload within resource and manpower available.
Develops and accomplishes a periodic maintenance plan such as, carpet cleaning, wall washing, and floor refinishing and notifying department heads of needed services and repairs.
Assures effective utilization of all equipment assigned.
Manages an effective training program for supervised staff and encourages staff members to understand their own responsibility for self- development.
Administers annual competencies and sanitation procedures to all supervised staff and provide any needed training as identified.
Monitors and enforces subordinate's adherence to safety and conduct rules, policies and for regulations coordinates assists, or completes appropriate accident report documents.
