This position is located in the Logistics Services Division, Integrated Support Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer.
Duties
The Special Assistant is assigned to a designated division of Integrated Support Services (ISS). The Special Assistant works under the general supervision of the Business Program Manager. The Special Assistant provides assistance and staff support to the associated programs in a wide range of issues related to the management and continuing improvement of those programs, policies and procedures of their assigned division within the ISS Directorate. The incumbent may participate in a variety of analytical and evaluative studies to determine their actual and potential impact in achieving desired objectives. As assigned, the incumbent convenes special projects based on anticipated need, program growth or change. Applies state-of-the-art management techniques that focus on providing recommended solutions to organizational problems and solutions for improving service, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency. Key elements of this position are customer focus and service tactfulness, courtesy and follow-through. This is a confidential position, working in-step with their division supervisor on all division activities.

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
