Duties

Yosemite, Ca, has three full time permanent Positions and two career seasonal position subject to non-pay time. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. Non-pay dates will be two weeks at the end of January to February for one position and other position will be two months from the end of December to the beginning of March. Supervise a team of employees and volunteers tasked with performing Recreation Fee Program related duties including assigning work, preparing schedules, evaluating work performance, effect minor disciplinary measures, interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions. Perform assignments in accordance with all regulations governing the handling of government funds and separation of duties. Serve as a technical authority for the resolution of especially difficult or sensitive technical problems associated with the collection, deposit, tracking, and expenditure of fee revenue and donations. Test reservation system functionality in automated reservation systems such as Recreation.gov and report findings as appropriate. Prepare or update operating manuals and/or standard operating procedures for the implementation of fee related systems, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/25/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-08 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician, GS-0503-08. Must have experience leading others in fee collection related duties as well as technical abilities. Examples of specialized experience include, but not limited to providing technical or programmatic assistance on accounting, auditing, budget, and/or revenue collection; resolve fee program planning issues; assisting with identifying fee program/project needs; assisting with programmatic audits of a fee program. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special prior­ity selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
