You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR II in the Electronics Branch-Shop 67, Electrical Division-C950, Production Resources Department-C900 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will manage and coordinate Milestone Key Events (MKE) for the assigned zone by providing advance planning support and gathering information on potential ship work assignments. You will provide guidance on new and revised policies, scope, complexity of work produced and economical and efficient use of resources. You will consult with job planners, engineering, and project schedulers to analyze alterations and repairs and organizing work packages. You will assign adequate personnel and brief key personnel of methods to be employed, likely problems to be encountered and contingency plans to accomplish the projects work. You will initiate action to expedite and ensure the availability of special equipment, tooling, materials and outside manpower or services critical to the timely and quality completion of assigned jobs. You will prepare and review essential records and reports regarding manhours changes, deviation from manhour allowances on completed jobs, project memos and instructions, accident and injury reports etc. You will promote, administer and assure subordinate supervisors support of management programs such as cost reduction, safety incentive awards, labor management relations, and equal employment opportunity.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications
