You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the Production Resources Department C900, Electrical Division C950, Electronics Branch, Shop 67 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will supervise the repair, removal, field changes, modifications, reinstallation, and checkout of systems and equipment assigned to Transducer Section, Sonar Section onboard submarines or surface crafts. You will assign tasks, tools, equipment and materials to workers. You will interpret plans and instructions for the work group. You will keep all work operations under close observation and control. You will resolve work problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other delays, requesting special permission, decisions, or assistance from higher levels of authority. You will plan the sequence of tasks, layouts, work assignments and any special work methods to be utilized.

• You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
