Duties
You will work on a team managing the Defense Travel System (DTS) for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific personnel.
You will collaborate with colleagues to resolve moderately complex tasks that necessitate effective internal coordination and teamwork.
You will ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and seek management guidance as needed.
You will review travel requests and offering reliable guidance to employee’s routine travel matters.
You will audit and verify all travel vouchers for accuracy, entitlements, completeness and compliance with travel regulations.
You will ensure that tickets, rental car reservations, and itineraries issued by the contracted travel service office align with authorized travel.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Process and review Defense Travel System (DTS) documents for compliance with regulations and manage the Government Travel Card program.

Education
In lieu of experience, you may substitute education as follows:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
