Duties
You will apply protective and decorative paint finishes to aircraft, aircraft components and accessories, slave equipment, engine components, electronic equipment, oxygen equipment.
You will assist higher graded employees in the application of decalcomania, transfers, silk screens, stenciling, color code markings to include national insignias, service branch lettering and designs.
You will assist higher-graded Painters in the full range of their duties.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

I have demonstrated the ability to perform the following tasks:
1) Interpreting and working from drawings, manuals, technical directives, instructions, blueprints, and at times, under the guidance of a higher-graded Painter;
2) Preparing and applying various paints/proper finishes to process aircraft, aircraft engine structures, components, assembles, and/or sub-assemblies;
3) Familiar with and capable of performing spray paint work involving high finish and close tolerance requirements, using conventional coatings and equipment;
4) Responsible for the proper set up, skilled use, care and accountability of trade related tools and equipment such as conventional paint guns (pressure suction), pressure pots, airless equipment (pump sprayers and guns); air-assisted electrostatic paint guns, orbital sanders, component machines (pressure requirements, proportioning ratios), hoses, blast helmets, sanders, sealant guns, hand tools, etc.
