Duties

Coordinates supply chain management processes from source of supply to the point of customer acceptance; performing on-going analysis of the distribution processes; collaborating with the military services to establish supply standards requirements. Represents the Clothing and Textiles Supply Chain at meetings, conferences, and working groups with Joint stakeholders, planners, customers, and senior leaders. Coordinates operations for special projects such as developing operating procedures, mission analysis, support plans, training, and preparing related presentations and briefings. Engages in planning with the military services, Combatant Commands, component commands and other supported agencies to ensure requirements are accurately captured and to develop related concepts of support. Collaborates with partners involved in contingency planning and emergency operations and participates in the development of viable, compatible plans that affect or involve DLA Troop Support. Examines adequacy of methodologies and procedures and other aspects of the supply chain that may be limiting the effectiveness of joint operations. Provides support for table-top, command post, operational and field exercises as a commodity subject matter expert representing the supply chain and/or DLA Troop Support. Serves as point of contact within Troop Support for Executive Agent (EA) inquiries, support/analysis requests, issue resolution, and requirements. Responsible for the proper marking, handling and storage of classified documents and systems.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Logistics Systems Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at theGS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience analyzing the end-to-end supply chain management processes. Experience conducting a variety of management studies and surveys to facilitate mission changes, new technology, and/or effective training. Experience in preparing oral/written communication to senior leadership. Experience in contingency planning with Military Commands or other state, local and federal agencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
