About the Position: This position is at TAMC Operations, at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI.
Serve as Administrative Support Assistant responsible for providing a full range of administrative support to include advising on administrative, personnel, budget, and file. Establish, maintain controls, and follow up to ensure timely accomplishments, distribution, submission and review of correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Duties
Perform a wide variety of filing and records keeping, updating manuals on policy and directives, reporting and informational duties.
Provide information and guidance to staff on procedures, forms, and documentation required to support budget estimates and requests.
Serve as Administrative Coordinator for internal Civilian Personnel Actions.
Use basic and advanced office automation program functions to perform management and/or program support assignments.
Review all incoming and outgoing mail for the organization, sorting, distributing and ensuring completing and timeframe.
Requirements

- Incumbent must be a qualified typist.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing technical administrative and clerical tasks such as gathering and compiling information from various database sources; drafting correspondences, reports, and/or briefings; maintaining files and/or records; and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
