About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Directorate of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace.

Duties
Identify trends and prepares recommendations in clerical and reporting procedures changes, adjustments or modifications to program and/or research expenditures or resources.
Prepare audit results with recommendations for improvement.
Conduct site visits to assist coordinators with correcting noted program file deficiencies.
Assist in developing look and format of reports and in identifying and solving problems in existing methods or procedures.
Independently notes and follows-up on commitments made at meetings and conferences by staff members.
Develop methods and procedures for office automation tasks and identifies and solves problems in existing methods or procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing administrative support to a program director; 2) Utilizing an automated computer program to pull, sort, track and input data; and 3) Training others on the use of internal automated computer programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
