The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Specialist that provides an interface between the aircraft maintenance and materiel management activities to facilitate the management of equipment, supplies, parts and components. Additionally, position provides training to reservists in the accomplishments of materiel management duties set forth herein.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Decentralized Materiel Support function within the Logistics Readiness Squadron, ensuring equipment support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Represents unit in working with supply support organizations to determine requirements and the capability of supply to support those requirements.
Serves as the Decentralized Materiel Support for assistance on issues concerning Depot Level Reparables (DLRs).
Accountability of supply and equipment assets.

- Incumbent may also be assigned additional duties, generally not to exceed 25 percent of total responsibilities.
Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: knowledge and ability to perform assessments and evaluations of people, programs and equipment as it pertains to supply functions; ability to document results, calculate trend analysis interpretation and perform follow-up evaluations to ensure corrective action, and knowledge of a wide range of supply, equipment and inventory management principles and procedures.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full year of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree, or LL.M., IN A RELATED FIELD from an accredited school. NOTE: You must provide your official transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Combination of education and experience such as education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (i.e beyond the second year) of progressively higher-level graduate education (leading to Ph.D. or equivalent, or L.L.M.) IN A RELATED FIELD from an accredited school, and some (but less than 1 year) of specialized experience as described above.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods to include requisitioning, requirements, equipment management, inspection activities, demand processing, records maintenance, and customer service.
2. Knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements, and work methods.
3. Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents.
4. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve issues and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
5. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve problems.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
