About the Position: Serves as the General Supply Specialist in the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO) for the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC).

Duties

Serves as the SSMO, Class I subject matter expert, and Class I Accountable Property Officer for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). Conducts causative research for both Class I and Class II requisitions within the supply system as part of inventory and stock record reconciliation process. Conducts monthly inventories of operational rations and executes procedures and practices necessary for local and external customer support. Requisitions, receives, inspects, stores, safeguards, inventories, and issues subsistence items from the subsistence warehouse outside of the normal office setting. Monitors established contracts in support of SSMO requirements. Acts as liaison between subsistence prime vendors, customers, and SSMO office.

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in performing a variety of food service technical supply management duties such as maintaining inventory control records utilizing an automated ration management system; reviewing and/or reconciling inventory authorizations to ensure accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, i.e., Logistics, etc. Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
