This vacancy is for a Supervisory Export Enforcement Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

Duties

As a Supervisory Export Enforcement Specialist/ Assistant Director, you will perform the following duties: Assists the Deputy Director and Director in developing guidelines, procedures, and formulating plans and policies for use by personnel Establishes and maintains liaison contacts in all areas of the law enforcement community Recommends and initiates improvements to enhance the efficiency and productivity of investigative staff Directs and manages all administrative enforcement activities. Supervise Export Enforcement Analysts and other staff, who perform VSD related functions. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Developing administrative, enforcement and/or regulatory policies; Conducting presentations on regulatory and/or enforcement matters before a large public and/or government audience; Maintaining liaison with investigative offices inside and outside of the organization. Leading teams in identifying, distributing, and balancing work priorities and/ or operations to meet emerging needs within available resources.
