Duties

You will be responsible for planning, obtaining, and performing a variety of administrative and program management functions to include research and analysis, communications, personnel, budget, accounting, procurement of administrative supplies, etc. You will participate in complex special projects, monitor activities or actions of the organization, and keep senior leadership properly informed of the highest priority items. You will ensure appropriate individuals are aware of actions requiring their attention and follow up to ensure actions are properly completed. You will identify problem areas within the program administration processes, makes recommendations, and assesses, revises policies and procedures to resolve issues. You will find ways to improve quality, timelines and efficiency of program management/administrative work.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of DON, United States Marine Corps (USMC) and NCIS missions, organizations, and management procedures sufficient to serve as the office's primary point of contact for a wide array of programmatic, administrative, and management matters, such as case and records management; property management; budget-account tracking; timekeeping; transportation; and employee travel. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experiencemust demonstrate the following: Planning and performing a variety of administrative and program management functions, and providing such services as case and records management, property management, budget-accounts tracking, timekeeping, transportation and employee travel. GS-09:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
