You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the UTILITY AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT BRANCH of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will operate and maintain NSAM utility systems.
You will oversee execution of capital projects for utility systems.
You will coordinate billing of utility customers.
You will plan and program capital projects for utility systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and applying procedures, requirements, regulations, and polices related to budget development, utility plants and system infrastructure maintenance and operations, commodities management, utility allocation, and energy program management; 2) Applying practical and technical knowledge of various trades used to maintain and operate utility systems (i.e. boiler plant operators, pipefitters, and electricians; 3) Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, drawings, plans, and specifications and reviewing designs for utility projects and make applicable corrections accuracy; 4) Utilizing operation and maintenance principles for a wide range of utility and energy systems; and 5) Assisting in the development of contract specifications, reports, and performance standards.
