Duties
Assists in the operations of a comprehensive recreational and military aquatics program. Provides input for budgets. Assists in emergency medical and rescue training, public education and other related educational and functional duties. Assists in the training of lifeguards and recreational swimming classes. Assists in the amphibious training and coaching of service members to include tactical strength and conditioning on land and stroke development in the water.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above; OR two years of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge of aquatics management, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. A minimum of one year of supervisory experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to use and perform maintenance of pool equipment. Understanding of and the ability to enforce rigid safety regulations to ensure maximum protection of swimmers. Must have the ability to use equipment to take pool readings. Must be able to pass an initial and recurring physical ability test. Must have a current driver's license. Training and Certification Required: Current nationally recognized certification: Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent.Current nationally recognized certification as a Water Safety Instructor or equivalent.Current nationally recognized certification as a Lifeguard Instructor or equivalent.Ability to obtain an Instructor Trainer certification or equivalentCurrent NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
