Duties
Plans, develops, administers and maintains a comprehensive aquatics program. Plans, coordinates, and schedules installation activities, special events, and joint community undertakings. Prepares budgets. Evaluates program overall effectiveness. Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares internal office financial plans and related records and reports, and exercises authority on approved budget. Reviews financial status of assigned activities and recommends changes. Manages new property resources and provides advice on renovations and improvements. Handles routine matters, contract files, and forward reports/files to the Contracting Officer. Inspects and accepts products and services, and reviews/approves invoices for payment.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of the position and; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above; OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. And a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have knowledge of pool water chemistry and the ability to use and perform maintenance of pool equipment and operation systems. Understanding of and the ability to enforce rigid safety regulations to ensure maximum protection of swimmers. Must be able to pass an initial and recurring physical ability test. Must have a current driver's license. Training and Certifications Required: Based on program operations the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire a nationally recognized certification of a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) and Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT) or equivalent.Current or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire an Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.Current nationally recognized certification as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent.Current nationally recognized certification as a Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) or equivalent.Current nationally recognized certification: Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent.Children National and state background checks are required.
