This position is a Full-time at 40 hours per week. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs specialized assessment and treatment of complex PTSD and related comorbidities. Provides Evidenced-Based Psychotherapy (EBP) for PTSD including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Provides a variety of direct psychological treatment services addressing the complex psychosocial issues faced by the veteran patients served in the PCT. Provides consultation to VAMC or community program staff regarding special problems of, and resources for, veterans suffering from PTSD and related problems. Provides training opportunities. Provides direct or indirect supervision of graduate social work students or other related human services students. Develops and implements methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practice and services. Supporting the implementation of national and VISN-level policies related to MST at the facility and associated CBOCs. Serves as the primary contact for Veterans and other staff members with questions about MST or local MST-related services. Develops and maintains relationships with various local leadership and program coordinators within the facility to facilitate problem-solving about systemic issues, coordination of patient care, collaboration on education and outreach initiatives, and information gathering for program evaluation. Communicates with members of the network- and national-level MST infrastructure, and other stakeholders as needed, in order to remain informed about notable policies, trends, and events, and to share information on local circumstances and practices. May be required to attend conference at other facilities or other VA sites on occasion. The incumbent may be required to travel to other VA campuses and CBOC's. The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: You must be a citizen of the United States Education and/or Experience Combination: You must possess a master's degree in Social Work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. Note: A doctoral degree in Social Work may NOT be substituted for the master's degree in Social Work. License or Certification*: You must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. *Exception: For assignments at the GS-9 level, VHA may waive the licensure or certification requirement for persons who are otherwise qualified, pending completion of state prerequisites for licensure/certification examinations. VHA social workers who are not licensed or certified at the time of appointment must become licensed or certified at the independent, master's level within three years of their appointment as a social worker. English Language Proficiency. Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f). May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Social Worker (Program Coordinator), GS-12 Experience Requirement: You must possess one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-11 include, but are not limited to: assessing and documenting identified behaviors or symptoms of abuse, neglect, exploitation and/or intimate partner violence; use of clinical social work skills; maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality per policies, handbooks or directives; acting as an advocate with appropriate community service providers and agencies when it serves the best interest of the patient and family members/caregiver; independently assessing the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members, identifying the patient's strengths, weaknesses, coping skills, and psychosocial acuity. Licensure/Certification: You must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs: Knowledge of program coordination and administration which includes consultation, negotiation, and monitoring. Knowledge and ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program. Ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff assigned to the program. Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). Ability to provide training, orientation, and guidance within clinical practice.
