Duties
Serves as senior DoD specialist and advisor on DoD major acquisition programs, policies, and associated procedures.
Monitors Business Process Re-engineering and Information Management initiatives within the OUSD(A and S) supported community to ensure coordination and integration.
Assists in the development, evaluation and implementation of DoD acquisition resource management systems and improved business processes.
Evaluates and reviews various documents and reports covering a wide range of all acquisition pathways in various stages of development, production, and operational use.
Participates in special projects, integrated product teams, studies for improving DoD business processes and practices and meeting established goals and objectives.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Management Program Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the NH-IV level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Know ledge and understanding of acquisition pathway management concepts and practices including resource management, life-cycle management policies and procedures, cost and resource analysis, and the application of those concepts and practices and BPR technology to the development of BPR planning, implementation and improvement.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition policies and practices, particularly with respect to the implementation of acquisition pathway and supporting project management and contract administration functions.
Knowledge of the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System and the Department's Requirement System and its relationship to the acquisition, management and support of weapon systems, equipment, and facilities in the DoD.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
