About the Position: This position is located with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Log Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Natick, MA.
This position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months and is Obligated.

Duties
Attend meetings, conferences, seminars, and briefings representing the installation in transportation matters.
Establish workflow priorities and make adjustments as required based on supervision and policies.
Administer techniques supporting installation systems, passenger management and unit movement (air, surface and/or water).
Direct, plan and supervise subordinate work within the Transportation Branch.
Serve as a technical advisor on administration, contractor performance and travel services to the installation.

Identify problems, recommend solutions, resolve issues, defend actions taken, and coordinates accordingly.
Determine the facilities, equipment, personnel, and funding resources required for accomplishment of the mission and functions.
Implement policies and procedures supporting installation transportation programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or Obtain and Maintain a Tier 3 (Secret) security investigation.
- This position may be designated as mission-essential and subject to recall to duty in times of emergency to perform time-sensitive, mission-critical which may requires the employee to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and overtime.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete COR instruction/training classes determined appropriate and within identified time period by supervisor and contracting officials.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducting transportation actions to include movement personnel, equipment, or organizational commodities with accountability for operation costs 2) Monitoring transportation actions for conformity with terms of contract 3) Participating in surveys of traffic management operating methods and 4) Resolving date today/routine work in accordance with standard traffic management policies and guides. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09)
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.(NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.(NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).
