You will serve as a LOGISTICAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the S-4 Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER.

Duties

You will serve as the principal program and administrative support assistant, managing overall operation, dealing with internal and external customers, performing a variety of administrative and financial support duties. You will organize and maintain files, briefs, records, statistical data and studies regarding department activities. You will manage the New River Air Station Conference Center, providing scheduling, security, equipment accountability, maintenance and repair, usage inspections and providing center utilization reports. You will prepare correspondence, reports, Air Station orders, mail requests, directives and SOPs and prepare final documents ensuring proper format and grammar are used. You will coordinate scheduling and tracking of personnel required training, maintaining certifications and other training records. You will assist with preparing travel arrangements and itineraries. You will assist in preparing operational budgets, requirement estimates and spending plans.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative, technical and financial support of office administrative activities (i.e., correspondence management, records and files management, travel preparation, budget maintenance, monitoring funds and expenses, AND purchasing management) in support of an organization's daily mission. GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative, technical and financial support of office administrative activities (i.e., correspondence management, records and files management, travel preparation, and purchasing management) in support of an organization's daily mission.
