You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the FACILITIES DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER.
Duties
You will provide facilities maintenance/management planning and assistance to customers to affect the ongoing maintenance, repair, and improvement of station real property facilities, grounds, and related equipment.
You will investigate, analyze, and independently resolve problems related to the timely planning, scheduling, and completion of facility maintenance, repair, and improvement projects for the station physical plant.
You will conduct regular coordination and consultation with professional facility managers, and technical engineering personnel to initiate the appropriate solutions relating to routine and complex issues.
You will receive emergency, urgent, and standard maintenance service requests through the enterprise data system, and orally, in writing, or via email.
You will determine repair, repair type, and priority requests based upon pre-assigned priorities and standing operating procedures.
You will recognize problems with service request language, coding, prioritization and communicate with the customer with solutions and professional direction in order to ensure their requirements are met.
You will identify requests from customers that may require inspections, assessments or special detail and dispatches the task to the appropriate engineering technician for resolution.
You will research and respond to requests for work order information and reconciliation as required.
You will provide direct back-up to higher graded positions by tracking work orders that wind up exceeding standard maintenance capabilities and thus turn into minor construction or renovation projects, or other contracted effort.
You will maintain a variety of project records, files, and engineering drawings.
You will receive, screen, and process cyclic maintenance requirements on facilities and equipment.
You will review data for completeness, compliance with reporting procedures and adequacy of maintenance documentation.
You will provide technical assistance to the supervisors and customers by researching and informing on specific requirements in ongoing and completed work.
You will provide computer generated maintenance reports to customers.
You will provide in-person, over-the-shoulder training to individuals.
You will assist with an ongoing program of information exchange between the facilities maintenance organization and their customers.
You will be responsible for the production, organization, and dissemination of computer-generated maintenance management reports used to identify trends in labor material usage, to aid in the identification of critical work backlogs.
You will provide recommendations and alternatives to supervisors regarding potential solutions to facility management challenges.
You will administer the building and structure key control program by documenting the receipt and inventory of keys for new buildings from the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
GS-07: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support to facility maintenance/management planning; assist customers on maintenance, repair, and improvement of station real property facilities, grounds, and related equipment; providing technical assistance by extracting data from an automated source to prepare reports; AND manages the buildings structure key control programs by documenting the receipt and inventory of keys.
GS-06: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support duties to include facilities maintenance/management services; carry out a comprehensive program of planning, scheduling, and coordination related to the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of real property facilities and systems; and provided customer service on related progress.
