Serves as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist within the Logistics Management Office, Center Operations Directorate. You will be responsible for supervising, leading, or performing work primarily concerned with directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, aerospace system, or other designated program.
Duties
Leads three, or more, civil service employees performing two-grade interval work. Specifically: Distributes and balances the workload among employees and assure timely accomplishment and performs Team Lead functions.
Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques; provides on the job training; answers employee questions on procedures, policies, directives, etc.
Reviews and spot checks work in progress and completed work to ensure supervisors instruction on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines have been met.
Maintains the status and progress of work, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities.
Estimates and reports on expected time of work and prepares production reports.
Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards.
Approves leave for a few hours and for emergencies.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Providing technical guidance on logistics principles, concepts, and cradle to grave logistical support;
Leading teams in complex logistics operations and making decisions to internal and external stakeholders that have direct impact on program and project milestones and mission goals;
Developing and implement strategic goals and supporting enterprise-wide logistics operations (e.g., leadership controls, mentorship, training, and importance of Diversity and Inclusion).
