Duties
You will serve as PHYSICAL THERAPIST in the STRIKE PROGRAM, EDO GROUP TWO, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia.
You will serve as the STRIKE Sports Medicine expert and clinical provider
You will provide evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members
You will design treatment plans to meet patient/clinical objectives to maximize restoration of physical
and functional capabilities
You will utilize physical performance measures to provide objective data and outcomes with activity/task performance
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to maintain a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Applicants must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
- Occasional travel is required to include the OCONUS EODGRU ONE and TWO units at least once per year. Duration of travel will usually be seven to fourteen (7-14) days per trip.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A graduate or higher level degree that included:
A physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(external link) (CAAHEP) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained; and
Completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy(external link) (FSBPT).
NOTE: Applicants who have completed an approved graduate level curriculum and who subsequently completed additional graduate training in a specialized field of clinical practice designed to assure professional competence to practice in the specialty meet the requirements for GS-11. EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the Basic Requirements stated above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience performing a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring a mastery level practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine, and data collection.
Experience developing and implementing complex, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients presenting with a multiplicity of dysfunction and impairments in physical, functional and adaptive areas.
Experience applying new and developing methodologies as solutions to complex multifactorial problems resistant to traditional rehabilitation approaches.
Experience designing treatment plans to meet patient/clinical objectives to maximize restoration of physical and functional capabilities.
Experience developing and updating performance standards.
