You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) of NAVAL STATION PEARL HARBOR.

Duties

You will advise on matters relating to an organization's emergency management program. You will assess emergency management processes, plans, standard operating procedures, or guidance for compliance with established emergency management directives, regulations, civil rights laws, and standards. You will conduct emergency management training to establish personnel are prepared and certified in incident command systems. You will brief management on findings, recommendations, or issues associated with emergency management training, exercises, and events.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages the Installation Emergency Management Program including tenant commands; 2) Develops and implements installation policy, guidance, and procedures for the Emergency Management Program to include the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in accordance with applicable directives/regulations; 3) Provides technical advice and guidance to management officials both internal and external to the organization regarding all aspects of the emergency management program; 4) Coordinates the Emergency Management command and control function to maintain effective operation of the EOC; and 5) Coordinating with the installation training team for exercise development, execution, and development of effective after action plans. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
