You will serve as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) in the SYSTEM CYBERSECURITY SUPPORT BRANCH of the CYBER ENGINEERING & ADVANCED TECH Division of the TEST AND EVALUATION Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
Duties
You will make and plan the successful execution of cybersecurity projects.
You will lead government teams and work with contractor personnel to independently document, build, and test secure information systems using appropriate testing guidance and security controls.
You will identify system risks and provide recommendations to achieve compliance.
You will develop specific mitigations and remediation actions for identified risks.
You will lead and support branch projects in support of information system security, ensuring proper management, performance, and administration.
You will function as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) and lead the effort in the branch for maintaining the daily NQV schedule with requirements for travel

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Naval Qualified Vendor (NQV) certification within 4 months of employment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 612, proficiency level Advanced; the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional IT Cybersecurity Specialist with experience as a Navy Qualified Validator or the ability to recommend corrective actions for found deficiencies for customers.
