You will serve as the Lead IT Specialist (INFOSEC) for the infrastructure services requirement in the Information Services Division within the Operations Services Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
Duties
You will serve as the subject matter expert and lead for a team involved in IT systems administration, design, review, and evaluation of IT infrastructure projects to meet corporate requirements and Information Assurance compliance.
You will troubleshoot problems and implement change in assigned area, diagnoses system failures to isolate source of problems with equipment, system software and applications program.
You will develop and maintain various business, financial or scientific computer systems to include all aspects of Information Assurance (IA) and Information Security.
You will provide technical direction, advice, and guidance and perform final technical reviews within the organization on all aspects of electronics systems testing programs and Certification and Accreditation (C and A) efforts.
You will assess needs and develop policies, procedures, and directives to govern application functions, providing guidance to IT management, staff, and customers.
You will analyze and evaluate future application and system requirements with clear focus on IA and C and A impacts.
You will provide information to supervisor on team issues including group and individual performance.
You will plan and coordinate the testing, installation, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of application systems and solutions.
You will plan and schedule the installation of new and modified hardware/software, allocating system resources, managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
You will plan and schedule IA actions including Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA), Computer Tasking Orders (CTO), and application of Security Technical Information Guides (STIG).
You will lead evaluation teams reviewing technical proposals and develops proposal evaluation reports for evolving state-of-the art Commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) products and solutions noting impacts to security compliance.
You will represent the activity at meetings and conferences involving personnel at contractor sites and other government agencies to discuss problems and procedures.
You will provide coaching to junior personnel with emphasis on higher-level Information Assurance policies and guidance.
You will implement security procedures and tools; resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems to ensure the customer’s functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
You will monitor and report status of accreditation actions, on shared infrastructures, ensuring product meets IA guidance to upper management.
You will lead an organizational group responsible for the following specific projects and tasks relative to IT Customer Support, Server administration, and associated IA controls.
You will troubleshoot complex problems with computer hardware and software incompatibilities and issues.
You will lead team in the development of systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
You will act as a lead in systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies; and assess security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions.
You will provide support, which includes gathering customer requirements; project planning and coordination; produce project charters, plan schedules, provide status reports and ensures project is completed on schedule and within budget.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing or coordinating Information Technology security operations (e.g., analyzing and assessing risk; developing cybersecurity tactics, and techniques) ensuring security guidance is applied to information systems or networks. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
