Duties

You will lead and manage Program Executive Office Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB) data and analytics activities and functions that support critical data, analytics capabilities such as data infrastructure, and integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and manage the PEO MLB enterprise data strategy and represent the PEO MLB organization on Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) working groups and teams. You will collaborate with other DoN and DoD stakeholders such as the Overmatch Data Pillar, and CDAO to influence and establish a consolidated data strategy. You will ensure effective data management, including data accuracy, security, and integrity; formulating and coordinating data collection techniques; implementing efficient and secure procedures for data handling, and analytics. You will analyze and define analytics requirements and specifications, analyze analytics sources to provide actionable recommendations, and assess the validity of source analytics and subsequent findings. You will develop and facilitate analytics-gathering methods and develop strategic insights from data sets and provide recommendations on new analytics technologies and architectures. You will employ emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing and data analytics to implement IT transformation initiatives and mitigate technology-related risks. You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimized for efficient data collection, storage, and analysis and create presentations that convey analytic insights and recommendations to leadership. You will identify opportunities to leverage data for business solutions throughout the organization in collaboration with key stakeholders and develop processes to monitor and analyze the accuracy and performance of data models.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Data Analyst, proficiency level advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and managing data and analytics activities and functions that support critical data and analytics capabilities such as data infrastructure, integration, integrity, data governance, security, analytics and culture.
