This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC), C5ISC C2 and NAV Product Line (C2PL), Combat and Optics Systems Branch (COB) located in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Duties
You will serve as an Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) and be responsible for managing information technology projects.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following:
Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts for Information Technology systems such as Combat and Optics systems;
Leading and overseeing IT project spending, hiring of staff, and contracting efforts related to IT systems;
Acting as a primary stakeholder in IT operational processes such as the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) process; and
Providing recommendations for improvements to IT systems based on user feedback.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
