This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for C5ISC, Communications Systems Product Line (COMSPL), Portsmouth, VA.
Duties
This position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC), responsible for managing the C5ISC Communications Systems Product Line (COMPL) supervising personnel at Alexandria, VA, Portsmouth, VA, Oakland, CA, and Juneau, AK. The COMPL acts as the Service Owner and single point of accountability to provide service development, delivery, support and technical expertise for communications systems services. The product line oversees Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with COMPL customers and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) with internal C5ISC entities and external delivery partners.

- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- This is not a Bargaining Unit Position.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14 level, applicants should have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following and your resume must demonstrate that you have met the specialized experience.
Analyzes system design trade-offs considering IT life cycle support;
Planning, evaluating or leading projects or teams such as assigning work, setting priorities, and providing feedback on work assignments;
Identifying need for changes based on new security technologies or threats, review and evaluates security assessment policies; and
Advising management officials of cybersecurity and data management issues.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
