You will serve as an NIWC Atlantic 55350 Shore Networks Competency Supervisor of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will serve as an NIWC Atlantic 55350 Shore Networks Competency Supervisor. You will provide unclassified and classified network and computing engineering services for the engineering, design, integration, deployment and sustainment of network architectures, network services, network management and server architectures. You will provide unclassified and classified network and computing engineering services for data storage architectures, virtual computing solutions, operating systems and application hosting solutions in the Navy’s shore and shipboard environments. You will be responsible for direct work in one or more service areas in support of Navy C4I and Fleet Readiness. You will provide first line supervisor oversight to the personnel assigned to various Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) within the competency.

• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441, level Intermediate, within 12 months of appointment.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to a hostile area.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing, coordinating, directing, and overseeing critical operational and integration systems alongside network infrastructure, network management, server architectures, storage architectures, virtual computing solutions and operating systems to establish, maintain, and/or improve information systems, national and international networks, and their hardware and software applications. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ability to analyze system design constraints, analyze trade-offs and detailed system and security design. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ability to function in a collaborative environment, seeking continuous consultation with other analysts and experts-both internal and external to the organization-to leverage analytical and technical expertise. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ability to provide comprehensive risk assessment implementing actions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
