About the Position: This position is for an Operations Specialist with the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command/ARSTRAT, Operations Division located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Duties
Serves as advisor/consultant on the G33 Chief of Operations on Command, HQDA, and combatant Command issues.
Conducts technical assessments on Army and joint space, cyber and global missile defense, and USSTRATCOM requirements.
Serves as the G33 Operations Division special projects coordinator and policy administrator.
Participates in planning for Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO).
Works closely with G-Staff primary and special staff sections, as Office of Primary Responsibility and as Office of Coordinating Responsibility.
Attends, reports and briefs at B2CWGs for both the G3 and Chief of Staff.
Serves as Task manager, prepotency and organizational lead.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing functions with space systems, or global missile defense, or USSTRATCOM missions in establishing operational procedures: negotiating recommendations for implementation of resources requiring changes in established space, or global missile defense, or USSTRATCOM mission procedures; organizing/planning team study work.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
