Duties
Supervisory Program Manager serving as an Assistant Program Manager (APM) and or Branch Chief.
Responsible for management of cost, schedule, and performance of Military Health Systems Acquisition Programs within the Defense Health
Agency, Program Executive Office or Program Management Office.
Monitors and performs detailed analyses of program progress and utilization of resources. Applies an extensive knowledge of different functional programs and program planning, evaluation, analysis and budgeting techniques.
Plans, analyzes, and reviews major programs associated Military Health System (MHS) information technology programs.
Conducts pre-implementation evaluations of existing systems to determine cost, configuration compliance, performance, adequacy, and assess
potential problems.
Provides product/project advice to executive level managers.
Exercises the full range of supervisory authority in regard to assignment of projects and tasks.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the
duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is designated as a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). The incumbent will be required to sign a Tenure Agreement which requires
the incumbent to remain in this position for a minimum of 3 years.
- This position requires the incumbent to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.
- This DAW position requires the incumbent to be Level III certified at time of assignment or able to acquire Level III certification within 24 months
of assignment in the DAW career field of Program Management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in managing major programs associated with the acquisition of capabilities involving information technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or facilities, etc., within the Health System. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03).
