Duties
Develop and revise emergency standard operations procedures and checklists.
Coordinate communications, message control, and resources to support emergency operations.
Assist with the development of plans to support emergency preparedness and response activities.
Establish fund accounts for emergency response.
Prepare project cost estimates and priorities based on command guidelines.
Assist in developing, coordinating, and arranging emergency training and exercises.
Maintain computerized databases for emergency planning, analysis, and response.
Perform various office administration functions.
Compile data and update emergency systems to support operations.
Maintain inventories of Emergency Management resources, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This is an obligated position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience (GS-9): One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) maintaining computerized databases; 2) planning and carrying out programs to support emergency readiness; 3) creating emergency response plans; 4) implementing upward reporting of critical incidents and emergency activities through collaboration with impacted organizations; 5) managing readiness of teams, supplies and equipment for emergencies; and 6) performing various office administration functions (e.g. credit card purchases, preparing correspondence, and organizing travel).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7).
